Oslo Screen Festival is in collaboration with Moscow International Film Festival, screening a film program at the symposium Global Media: A foothold. The program, including Mattias Härenstams Closed Circuit (In the middle of Sweden), is organized by the festival’s Media Forum and will be screened at the House of Cinema in Krasnoyarsk (RU) on November 5-10, 2012. Untitled (Raining Stones) will be screened at 25th Festival Les Instants Vidéo. The festival starts with screenings at Friche La Belle de Mai in Marseille Nov 7th - 17th and then moves on to Alexandria, Egypt with screenings at Bibliotheca Alexandrina Arts Center Nov 26th - 30th. Closed Circuit (In the middle of Sweden) will be part of an exhibtion titled Videosincracy at Galleria Limiti Inchiusi Arte Contemporanea in Campobasso, Italy. The show is produced in collaboration with the arts festival Autumn Contamination and is curated by Silvia Valente and Luca Basilico.

Wilfried Agricola de Cologne has made a special selection from Cologne OFF VII Art & The City for art:screen fest in Örebro, Sweden 4th - 7th October. The program will be presented at Bio Roxy, salong 1 (Olaigatan 19, Örebro) on Sat 6th Oct at 15:40 and includes Closed Circuit (In the middle of Sweden) by Mattias Härenstam. Portrait of a smiling man by Mattias Härenstam will be screened at the international performance festival "Préavis de désordre urbain" organized by Red Plexus in Marseille 11th - 21st of September. It will be part of a program compiled by Les Instants Vidéo, showcasing video-work dedicated to the performance.
The touring of CologneOFF VII, including Closed Circuit (in the middle of Sweden), is coming to an end with recent screenings in Spain (June 21st at The Hybrid Art Festival at Las Naves - Center for Contemporary Expressions in Valencia), Peru (July 18th at VideoBabel in Cusco), Italy (Ares Film and Media Art Festival, Syracuse in July - Aug), Russia (July 10th ongoing until September 9th at Linoleum - International Animation Festival at Moscow State Gallery Solyanka) and upcoming at Alterego/MIVA at Cinemateca Nacional and Centro Cultural Metropolitano in Quito, Ecuador on August 24th and the Ionian International Digital Film Festival on Lefkas Island, Greece September 15th - 22nd. The next issue of Swedish cultural magazine Mums - no 3 "The lawless issue" - focuses partly on the murder of Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme and features among others, text and images of Mattias Härenstams' installation Untitled (28th February 1986).
Part of the installation will also the shown together with works of Makode Linde and Karl Holmqvist at a release party at Studio Studio, Åsögatan 115, Stockholm on Sat August 18th 19 - 22. More at the mums-webpage and read an interview with editor Petter Wallenberg on the project in Rodeo.
